EES/WAPS briefing team to visit Langley

By Senior Airman R. Alex Durbin 633rd Air Base Wing Public Affairs

Personnel from Headquarters Air Force and the Air Force Personnel Center are scheduled to visit Langley Air Force Base, July 28, 2015, to share information about Enlisted Evaluation System and Weighted Airman Promotion System changes.

During the briefings, EES/WAPS subject matter experts will speak about changes that have already been set in place, those slated for implementation in the months ahead, and the reasons and philosophy behind the changes.

"This is one of the most significant changes to the enlisted evaluation and promotion system in a generation," said Maj. Gen. Peggy Poore, AFPC commander. "We feel it's important to bring this information directly to commanders and Airmen and allow them to ask questions and get immediate answers from the experts."

Due to limited seating, unit leaders across JBLE have been allotted seats for two briefing sessions, which will be held at the base theater at 1 and 3 p.m. and will last approximately 1 and 1/2 hours.  Airmen are encouraged to refer to squadron leadership to secure a place at the event.

During the visit, the briefing team will also develop subject matter experts within the 633rd Force Support Squadron to ensure base personnel are able to answer questions from Airmen following the team's departure.
