Fort Eustis to hold town hall

By Master Sgt. April Wickes 633rd Air Base Wing Public Affairs

Members of the Fort Eustis community can now start submitting questions for an upcoming live, on-line town hall meeting scheduled to take place Aug. 20, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.

During the event, the garrison leadership team and base agencies will address concerns from Fort Eustis community members and discuss future plans for the installation.

"We are holding this town hall to hear from our citizens. What's being done right, and what's being done wrong," said U.S. Army Col. William Galbraith, 733rd Mission Support Group commander.  "This is a chance for someone to ask a question to that they always wanted to pose, but didn't know how."

Leaders will take questions during the town hall; however, community members are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time.

"Every question is important and we want to make sure our subject matter experts have time to efficiently answer them," said Lt Col. Ricardo L. Sierra-Guzman, Fort Eustis-Story Army Support Activity commander.

With the last town hall meeting at Fort Eustis being held in 2013, installation leadership is anticipating questions about improvements for everyone who works or lives here.

"This town hall is being conducted at the right time. We have a lot of construction completed, a lot of great programs that have gone underway, and a lot of great events that have taken place [since the last meeting]," said Galbraith. "It will help answer the following question; 'how do we move this installation forward another leap and bound so that we can make sure we are meeting everyone's expectations?'"

Those interested can now submit questions to usaf.jble.633-abw.mbx.eustispa@mail.mil with "Town Hall" in the message subject line. Submissions are due by Aug. 18 at 4:00 p.m.
