HAWC to hold 1.5 Mile Running Clinic: Beyond the Basics

Ready to take your running to the next level? Need advanced training tips? 

Join the Health and Wellness Center staff 1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 5 for the first session in of the 1.5 Mile Running Clinic: Beyond the Basics series. 

This class is the first in a three-part clinic designed to help active-duty members safely train to enhance their performance during the cardio component of the Air Force Fitness Test. 

Lt. Col. Claudia Sands, podiatry consultant to Air Force Surgeon General, will discuss common running injuries and prevention techniques. Future classes will include topics, such as sports nutrition and indoor running. Attend all three sessions or select the class that will help you the most.

Sports Nutrition: Are You Running on Empty? 

1-2:30 p.m. Nov. 2 

Maximizing Your Indoor Running 

1-2:30 p.m. Dec. 7
