Intramural, PBA Experience Bowling League update

By Mr. Jeff Yager

Here are the weekly updates for Langley's Intramural Bowling League and the PBA Experience League:

Intramural league
The season is winding down and now it's time for the teams to make sure they finish in the top 16 in order to compete for the title of base champion. The 1 SVS team brought back a "blast from the past." They reached deep down in order to take a bite out of the rise of last year's regular season champion, ACC A2 "B" team. Retired league president and team captain John LeMaster strolled confidently to lanes 13 and 14 for the impending match. Would he be rusty and bring down the 1 SVS team or would he be the giant killer they needed? John began the night by throwing the first five strikes in the first game and finishing with a knee-bending 230 game. However, the firepower that the A2 "B" team brings to the table was no match for them in the next two games.

Some of the scores are not in this week since the base exercise caused a few teams to postpone their bowling for the evening.

Here are the high scores from Wednesday:

Male: Brian Snyder 257-607; Jeff Yager 256-676; Mike Anderson 254-641
Female: Angela Wright 210-546; Sherri Strifler 208-561; Emie Stoudt 200-533

PBA Experience league
Congratulations to the Rollin' Thunder team on winning the Scorpion pattern. They only managed seven out of 18 points from Golf Nutz, but it was more than enough to win the pattern championship. Jim Clifton led the Rollin' Thunder team with a 196 average on the pattern and the high series of 662. Don Strifler rolled the highest game on the pattern with a 251. The league now moves on to the Chameleon pattern, which closely resembles a normal league pattern, but don't let that fool you.
