What do you do?
Assist 700-plus Information Management Officers across Victory Base Complex with computer, related issues.

What's the most useful item you packed?
Shower shoes and cottonell wipes.

When did you realize you "weren't in Kansas anymore;" aka your "Dorothy" moment? As soon as my boots touched the ground.

What has been the highlight of your tour?
The knowledge, experience, and the never seen before footage.

What's the best part of the deployment?
Working in the palace.

The worst part?
Cold showers and the gravel rocks.

What new survival skill have you learned?
Praying helps all the time.

What do you do during down time?
Go to the gym to do physical training, online classes, and study for my certifications.

What is the first thing you will do and eat when you return?
Take a long hot bubble bath, eat some good Asian food.

What insight/experience will you take away from your time over there?
Knowing that "things could always be worse."

What do you miss the most?
My family, friends and my bathroom/shower.

How is your job that you are doing now different from the job back stateside?
Stateside most of the IMOs are computer savvy; here it's very different so there are lots of calls.

Have you tried the local cuisine?
Negative 

What do you think about what you hear on the news from what is going on stateside?
Out here I focus on the progress that we are making and how we are helping others.

Do you have plans for any extra money that you might be making from this deployment?
Yes, buying stocks and items for the home.
