Air University login procedures to change in August

1st Force Support Squadron Force Development

Beginning Aug. 3, Air University will allow the option of logging in with either a Department of Defense-issued Common Access Card or username/password.

Students can continue to use the Air University log-in page, but will be automatically redirected to the AU Portal to create an AU Portal account Aug. 3; however, Langley will not test for Air War College and Air Command and Staff College Aug. 3 and 4. For those students who have created the username/password, testing will resume Aug. 5.

All Langley AWC students must use the username/password to test at Langley.

All other students will use their current Air University username and social security number as the password, or a CAC, to create the Air University Portal account. Once in the Air University Portal, students who need to use the username/password option, rather than a CAC, will establish a 15-character password.

Current Air University accounts will not be valid after Aug. 2 at 11:59 Central Standard Time. This site may become CAC mandatory at a later date, due to security requirements, but for now, the username/password option is still available.

Additional details will be provided on the Air University Web site at a later date.
