LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. –
Effective Saturday, normal weekend operations will continue throughout the base.
Commanders will advise key and essential personnel to report to respective units to assist with base recovery and cleanup. A base-wide foreign object debris walk is scheduled for noon to remove any leftover debris before resuming normal flying operations.
Effective Saturday, all Army & Air Force Exchange Service facilities to include the base exchange, commissary and gas station will be open for business. In addition, the Langley Hospital will resume weekend operations as normal.
The King Street and Armistead gates will reopen between 9 and 10 p.m. Friday, following an expected high tide of 5.4 feet, which is slightly above the Langley flood threshold. In the mean time, the LaSalle Ave. and NASA gates are open for entry and exit.
