480th ISR Wing takes home safety awards

The following Airmen received at the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency level safety awards Nov. 12 and will compete at the Air Force level:

Safety Career Professional of the Year
Master Sgt. Donald Waters, 480th ISR Wing
He is the sole wing safety program manager for five geographically separated groups, totaling more than 4,100 personnel. He executed over 250 spot inspections and reduced safety discrepancies by 60 percent.

Chief of Staff Individual Safety
Tech. Sgt. Harold Joe, 692nd ISR Group, Hickam AFB, Hawaii
He led a safety program for over 700 personnel. His mishap prevention efforts reduced overall mishaps by 76 percent and "lost work day" cases by 10 percent. His motorcycle mentorship program, which paired novice riders with experienced riders, reduced motorcycle mishaps for the entire year to one.

The following Airman received an Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency level safety award:

Squadron Level Unit Safety Representative of the Year

Tech. Sgt. Kris Golden, 8th Intelligence Squadron, Hickam AFB, Hawaii
He identified and corrected 12 potential safety issues during his squadron's recent move, ensuring zero safety incidents. He strictly enforced
high-risk safety practices, resulting in zero high-risk safety incidents.
