LANGLEY AIR FORCE, Va. –
Are you nearing separation or retirement and looking for a IT, Technical or Intelligence Job? Do you have an active security clearance? Are you interested in finding new career opportunities? If so, you can attend the Langley AFB Defense Technology & Intelligence Career Fair.
The Air Force Association Langley Chapter will host the event Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Langley Officers' Club for job seekers who already have access onto military installations.
Employers are in search of those with backgrounds in: information technology, engineering, aerospace, communications, military, government, contractor and intelligence, and prefer those with an active federal security clearance. Guests can drop off two copies of their résumés at the registration table for a free critique from Careerpro Global.
Attending the career fair is a great way to bolster your job seeking, network and higher education efforts. Transition Careers facilitates technical and security clearance career fairs for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Communities.
Most prospective job seekers stick with the traditional methods of finding a job by answering ads posted in the newspaper or on an on-line job board. By attending this career fair, you are putting yourself directly in front of the organizations that need your skills, giving yourself a leg up on the competition.
The fair provides an opportunity for prospective employees to have face-to-face contact with local and national companies. Even if separation or retirement is a few years away, the career fair could be a tool to see what opportunities are available to have an idea for the future.
Anyone interested should visit www.TransitionCareers.com to pre-register, research companies, find out what jobs are being offered and post their résumé.
