Have you ever been deployed? If so, how many times and where? In support of Operation Enduring Freedom at Kandahar, Afghanistan, March 2004 through April 2005. Also in support of Operation New Dawn, at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, in Tikrit, Iraq, July 2006 through September 2007.

What are your short- and long-term goals? My short-term goals are to win USAALS Distinguished Instructor of the Year and complete my associate degree. My long-term goal is to complete my Bachelor's (degree) in education and be the best mother and stepmother I can.

What would you say to encourage other Soldiers to achieve their goals in the Army? Volunteer for the jobs no one is willing to do, as much as you can, as early as you can, to set yourself apart from your peers and it will not go unnoticed. Take advantage of the tuition assistance offered through active-duty and the GI Bill to ensure you get a better education and ensure yourself a brighter future/career, and volunteer your time in the community to better yourself and those less fortunate than yourself.

Are you married? Any kids? I am married with a 6-year-old stepdaughter and my first child is due in September.

Hobbies? Photography, baking desserts and painting
