633 FSS to host first Langley-Eustis flag football all-star game on Super Bowl Sunday

By Senior Airman Jarrod R. Chavana 633d Air Base Wing Public Affairs

The 633d Force Support Squadron Langley Community Center is hosting the first Langley-Eustis Flag Football all-star game Feb. 6 at 1:30 p.m. near the Crossbow Dining facility.

At 1 p.m., 22 individuals will be broken up into two teams during a mock draft and then lead onto the gridiron for four grueling 15-minute quarters.

"In conjunction with the gym, we will chalk the field just like a regular flag football game and make it really nice," said Issac McCann, 633 FSS program assistant. "Later on after the game we will have a trophy presentation for the winners and then invite everyone to a Super Bowl party, where we will supply free food and beverages while Airmen and Soldiers watch the game on a 10 foot by 12 foot projection screen."

The Community Center will also have Madden 2011 on multiple game system platforms stationed on nine big screens and for those people that are knowledgable about the National Football League, they will also have a trivia competition.

"We are joint base and we are giving Eustis the same information as we give to our personnel here at Langley and we want them to come out and participate in the game as well as come back for the Super Bowl party," said Mr. McCann.

If you are interested in competing, the sign up ends Jan. 31, but whether you play or not, free food and games will be available after the game, according Mr. McCann.
