735 SCOG installs new commander

Col. Linda Hurry assumed command of the 735th Supply Chain Operations Group in a ceremony Feb. 14 at the static display hangar.

Colonel Hurry succeeds Col. Rick Bennett in command of the group, which is subordinate to the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing, headquartered at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

Col. Mark Johnson, 635 SCOW commander, presented Colonel Hurry with the Group guidon and welcomed her on behalf of the group.

Colonel Hurry is a 1991 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., and has served across the Air Force in transportation and logistical leadership positions, to include Headquarters Air Combat Command transportation division from 1995 to 1999. Her most recent assignment was at the U.S. Transportation Command at Scott AFB, where she served as the commander's executive assistant.

The 735 SCOG supports 16 weapons systems and more than 2,200 airframes. The group provides service to nine major commands, six combatant commands, 112 main operating bases and 35 areas of responsibility, performing 5.8 million transactions, including 10,000 mission capable/mission capability and 20,000 equipment transactions monthly.
