ACC Airman among casualties in Kabul

633d Air Base Wing Public Affairs

Maj. Raymond G. Estelle II, an Airman assigned to Headquarters Air Combat Command, died April 27, at the Kabul International Airport, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from gunfire.

"Major Estelle was an extraordinary Airman and invaluable member of our team. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family for the loss we all share," said Tom Entwistle, director of ACC's Directorate of Analyses, Lessons Learned and Air Force Smart Operations 21.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
