New traffic pattern in LTA Bypass area

By 633rd Civil Engineer Squadron

Construction of a traffic circle at the intersection of Weyland Road and LTA Bypass Road will soon begin and is expected to be completed by the end of November.

To keep traffic flowing around the construction area, a temporary road will be put in place on the flightline side of the intersection. This temporary road will be in service beginning Oct. 10.

Traffic travelling north on Weyland Road from the golf course towards the north base area will be directed to the LTA Bypass Road by way of the temporary road. Traffic travelling from the north base area towards the golf course will have to use LTA Bypass Road and the temporary road as well.

Drivers should be aware that temporary barriers will be placed on the affected roadways, which will make for safe and continuous flow around the construction site. Drive safely and be vigilant of construction workers, pedestrians and joggers while this project is being completed.
