Inspection Notice: 633rd MDG welcomes AFIA Health Services Inspection Team, Joint Commission surveyors

The 633rd Medical Group welcomes the Air Force Inspection Agency/Inspector General Health Services Inspection Team and the Joint Commission Survey team to Langley Air Force Base Oct. 31 to Nov. 4.

The Air Force Inspection Agency/Inspector General Health Services Inspection team assesses quality, provides a means to focus management attention, gather data, and/or evaluate the status of specific programs and conditions of an AF healthcare facility. The purpose of this inspection is to determine compliance with the Air Force Medical Service's high standards.

The Joint Commission Survey evaluates the organization's compliance with nationally established standards. Joint Commission standards deal with organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. The results will be used to determine whether accreditation should be awarded to USAF Hospital Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information may request a public information interview with the Joint Commission's field representatives at the time of the survey. Information presented at the interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process. Requests for a public information interview must be made in writing and should be sent to the Joint Commission. The request must also indicate the nature of the information to be provided at the interview. Such requests should be addressed to:

Or
complaint@jointcommission.org

The Joint Commission will acknowledge requests in writing or by telephone and will inform the organization of the request for any interview. The 633d Medical Group will in turn, notify the interviewee of the date, time and place of the meeting.
