FORT EUSTIS, Va. –
Approximately 200 Soldiers assigned to the 53rd Transportation Battalion and the 89th Trans. Company, 7th Sustainment Brigade return home to Fort Eustis in the early morning of Dec. 21 after respectively completing 10 and nine-month deployments to Iraq.

Soldiers of the 89th Trans. Comp. conducted tractor/trailer cargo movements throughout Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn, moving supplies and unit equipment from countless operating bases in Iraq to staging yards and depots from which to be retrograded in fulfillment of the Presidential mandate.
"Not only are we proud to know that the Soldiers of our units were able to successfully meet the timelines set by our national leaders, but we are immensely grateful to have them home safely, to join their families and loved ones in time for Christmas," said Lt. Col. Marc Spencer, the brigade's deputy commanding officer.
