Spring is here, and with the warmer weather comes permanent change of station season for Airmen across the Air Force. While moving is one of the most stressful experiences a person will encounter in their lifetime, the Air Force's new Housing website can make the process much easier.
The website features links to housing pages for each Air Force installation, a map of bases, links to other important websites and a list of frequently asked questions.
The goal of the site is to provide information on housing options and support services available at Air Force installations, as well as details about local communities, school district information, local weather and other useful resources that will help Airmen and their families become familiar with their new homes. Additionally, the site provides dorm information for unaccompanied Airmen.
"Our housing professionals are among the first people Airmen and their families meet at their new duty stations, and it is always with a smile. We provide the support they need during their transition, and make their care a top priority," said Maj. Gen. Timothy Byers, the Air Force Civil Engineer. "By working with them to fill their housing needs, our housing team helps make sure they get settled in as quickly as possible."
