The U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Band's Salsa ensemble, Bahía Caliente, performed for audience of more than 200 people at Magnolia Park, Fort Eustis, Va., Aug. 16.

The concert, titled "Tropical Rhythm", continued the band's Music Under the Stars summer series, now in its 80th season.

"The audience for Music Under the Stars is very faithful," said Staff Sgt. Edward Ortiz, leader of Bahia Caliente. "We enjoyed sharing music of the Latin culture with them."

On Aug. 30, the TRADOC Band is scheduled to conclude its summer concert series with a traditional rendering of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. The overture is best known for its climactic volley of cannon fire, ringing chimes and brass fanfare finale. The festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. at Fort Eustis, and are free and open to the public.
