SAPR creating change through art

By Senior Airman Ericha Guyote 633rd Air Force Base Public Affairs

The Langley Sexual Assault Prevention Response team held a “Creating Change Through Art” event at the Langley Air Force Base Theater, Virginia, Sept. 25, 2018.

This event highlighted the capability of individuals to use art as a means of expressing the psychological strains a Sexual Assault can cause. The artists were encouraged to present their interpretation of these emotions in a series of mediums: paint, poetry, photography, and more. Joint Base Langley-Eustis Sexual Assault Prevention Response Victim Advocates also performed a skit depicting potential Sexual Assault dangers in the workplace and how to combat those behaviors.

Closing out the event, awards were presented to the top artists in each category, chosen by the Langley Key Spouse Organization.
