JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. –
The Sexual
Assault Theater Group performed the play “Same Script, Different Cast” to shine
a new light on sexual assault during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month
at the base theater, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., April 13, 2018.
April
is recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) across
the country by both civilian and military communities. The observance is an opportunity to highlight
the efforts of caring for victims as well as provide innovative ways to infuse
prevention practices into the daily mission. The 2018 theme is: Protecting Our
People Protects Our Mission!
The show,
consisting of three acts, expressed how sexual assault culture can live within
an office or unit. Audience members had the opportunity to ask questions at the
end of the show, while the actors remained in character.
