Army develops generator 1.5 tons lighter than current option

A generator light and compact enough to be towed by a Humvee, yet sturdy enough to be transported off road was developed by Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center engineers. They  were recognized for their collaborative efforts with small business to develop a transportable 100 kW generator 1.5 tons lighter than those currently used in Afghanistan. (Courtesy graphic)
