250th Army Birthday Festival at JBLE-Eustis MWR

 

Army 250 at the US Army Transportation Museum

The US Army Transportation Museum will be open from 9 am until 8pm on 13 June.  Come visit as part of the TRADOC 250th Army Birthday celebrations.  At the museum you can see over 135 of the amazing vehicles used across the 250-year history – from the famed Conestoga Wagon to today’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle.  The museum exhibits pay homage to how the Army has supported and changed how America moves and travels since 1775.  The museum is free and is located just inside the Fort Eustis gate, 300 Washington Blvd. For more information about the Army Transportation Museum, visit us at transportation.army.mil/museum.


"FEVA Remembers the Fallen" Wreath Laying Ceremony - Thursday, May 22 from 1200 - 1300 at the Bronze Cross Memorial on Fort Eustis.

During this time there will be traffic impacts on Lee Blvd. between Taylor Ave. and Magnolia Park to support the event.  All personnel who work in the vicinity of 3rd Port should make use of Kerr Rd during this time. For questions, please contact Mr. Cummings at john.w.cummings1.civ@army.mil.

TRADOC 250th LPD Series - Monday, June 9 - Friday, June 13

  • June 9 - Lunch Lecture: Siege of Yorktown | 1200 - 1300 at the Wylie Theater & Virtual
  • June 10 - Staff Ride: Siege of Yorktown (1781) | Three iterations available facilitated by the TRADOC Command Historians at the Yorktown Battlefield; 5 hours per iteration with a maximum of 25 persons per iteration (75 persons total)
  • June 11 - Lunch Lecture: Battle of New Market Heights | 1200 - 1300 at the Wylie Theater & Virtual
  • June 12 - Staff Ride: Battle of New Market Heights (1864) | Two iterations available facilitated by the TRADOC Command Historians at the New Market Heights/Ft. Harrison Battlefields in Richmond, VA; 8 hours per iteration with a maximum of 25 persons per iteration (50 persons total)
