The That Guy campaign reminds junior enlisted that they don't want to be That Guy -- the one who after drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, loses control of self or situation with humiliating or embarrassing results. If active-duty personnel think they need help not being That Guy they can get help from their commander, first sergeant, chaplain, or medical provider. They can also utilize the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program by calling 764-6840, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. There is also a provider on-call through the Urgent Care Center. For those who desire to continue supportive services in the community, they may find the Alcohol Anonymous meetings helpful http://www.aa.org.
The Eagle's Wing, located on the third floor of the Career Development building, is a multi-purpose setting for young adult Airmen. The hang-out is considered a "safe haven" for many Airmen looking for a place to eat, socialize, attend Bible studies, and interact with others through video games and poker nights. For more information, call the Langley Chapel at 764-7847.
