JBLE training course advances skills for maintainers

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — Throughout the year, more than 370 maintainers from eight different Air Force Specialty Codes attend advanced training courses at the 372nd Training Squadron, Detachment 18 at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Load crew competition challenges maintainers

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS — The 1st Maintenance Squadron hosted a Weapons Load Crew of the Quarter competition with the 94th and 27th Aircraft Maintenance Units competing, Oct. 28, 2016 at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The competition is held every quarter and allows the load crews from each AMU to showcase their skills and abilities while loading the aircraft with munitions.

Raptors converge on F-22 CTF as it prepares to move

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — Just after the turn of the century, it wasn’t unusual to see seven F-22A Raptors parked around the 411th Flight Test Squadron compound during the fighter’s early developmental test and evaluation days. Today, the 411th and F-22 Combined Test Force has just four of the fifth-generation fighters left – including one in the hangar undergoing maintenance – to conduct testing to continually improve the Raptor fleet’s combat and long-term capabilities.
