COL. BRAD S. HUEBINGER

Col. Brad S. Huebinger is the Commander of the 1st Fighter Wing, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. He is responsible for over half of the Air Force's F-22 Raptor inventory and the worldwide rapid deployment and employment of F-22 air dominance fighters in support of Combatant Commander taskings. He oversees more than 2,000 personnel, two airfields, two groups, and 11 squadrons, including two F-22 fighter squadrons, the sole F-22 formal training unit, a T-38 fighter training squadron, and a 
training support squadron. 

The Colonel entered the Air Force in May 2002, graduating from the USAF Academy. Col. Huebinger’s operational assignments include the 493d Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, UK and the 525th Fighter Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf- Richardson, AK. Col. Huebinger was the 433d Weapons Squadron Commander, leading the F-15C/D and F-22 Weapons Instructor Courses. He then became Deputy Commandant of the USAF Weapons School, guiding 21 squadrons producing tactical experts for the USAF. The Colonel next served as the Air Dominance Branch Chief and Special Access Coordinator for the Joint Staff Directorate of Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment. Col Huebinger was the Deputy Division Chief at the War Planning, Operations and Policy Division, Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon. Prior to his current position, he was  the commander of the 1st Operations Group at Langley Air Force Base, Va.
