Col. Marcus A. McGinn

Colonel Marcus McGinn is the Deputy Commander, 1st Fighter Wing, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. As Deputy Commander, he ensures the wing is ready to deploy and employ F-22 air dominance fighters worldwide to support Combatant Commander taskings. He assists the commander in leading the wing's 2,100 personnel, two airfields, two groups, and eleven squadrons, including three F-22 fighter squadrons and a T-38 fighter training squadron.


Colonel McGinn entered the Air Force in 2004 after receiving his commission through ROTC. He has served in multiple fighter squadrons, has operational and training experience in three major commands, commanded at the Squadron level, and served on the Joint Staff. Prior to serving as the Deputy Commander, Colonel McGinn served as the Executive Officer to the Commander, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
