Staff Sgt. Michael Bowman serves as the Public Affairs Officer for the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team. As the lead public affairs representative he handles all social media, community relations, civic outreach, and media outreach for the team. He also serves as the team's photographer and videographer, capturing, editing, and showcasing the story and mission of the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team to the world. He represents Air Combat Command, the United States Air Force, and the Department of Defense at more than 25 air shows annually to over 50 million fans and spectators across the world. His mission is to professionally communicate the team's mission to as large an audience as possible to recruit motivated Americans, retain highly skilled Airmen, and inspire the next generation of aviators.
Bowman is from the Coachella Valley in Southern California and enlisted in December 2018. Before joining the team, Bowman served at the 17th Training Wing as a legacy broadcast journalist before leading the consolidation into mass communications. In his spare time, Bowman is a writer, musician, weightlifter, and home chef.
