Col. Nathan T. Kellett

Col. Nathan T. Kellett is the Commander, 633d Medical Group and Director, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia where he leads 1,400 active-duty and civilian medical personnel. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring maximum wartime clinical readiness, ensuring ready medical forces and medical ready forces while providing high quality, safe and trusted patient care for 382,000 beneficiaries in the Tidewater Market.

Col Kellett is a Minnesota native and hails from Charlotte, North Carolina.  Commissioned in 2005, he serves as a Medical Service Corps officer holding operational positions in Medical Logistics, Medical Readiness, Information Systems, and Clinical Engineering.  Col Kellett’s staff assignments include PACOM Designated Senior Logistician, PACAF Surgeon General’s Plans and Logistics Branch Chief, 7th Air Force Deputy Surgeon, and Multinational Force Medical Liaison- Regional Command East, Afghanistan.  He earned three Master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina and Air University and was competitively selected for two Air Force fellowships in Information Systems at the Ohio State University and Emergency Management at the United States Department Health and Human Services.  Col Kellett’s combat experience include multiple tours supporting Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and Operation DEEP FREEZE.  His Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief experience include supporting Kumamoto and Kaikoura earthquakes, Sri Lankan floods, and over 50 COCOM Emergency Management Global Health Engagements with over 20 US strategi Allies and Partners. 

Col Kellett’s professional experience includes:  strategic planning, emergency management, complex catastrophe and Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief operations planning and response management, Defense Support of Civil Authorities planning and response management, health services support and global health management, pharmacoeconomic and pharmacoepidemiology research, and domestic and creditor’s rights litigation.
