Lieutenant Colonel Bradley Hamrick enlisted into the Army in 2002 as an infantryman (11B) and completed Airborne School immediately after basic training. His first assignment was a rifleman in the 173rd ABN BDE. He served as a section sergeant before being selected to OCS. After completing OCS, LTC Hamrick was assigned to 1st BDE, 82nd ABN at Fort Bragg, NC. There, he served as a PL, XO, BN S4 and commanded Delta Troop, 3-73 CAV.
After completing Captains Career Course, Lieutenant Colonel Hamrick was assigned to 7th Special Forces Group. There he worked as special projects officer and the GSB S3. After attending the Naval War College, LTC Hamrick was then assigned back to the 173rd ABN BDE as the BDE S4, BDE XO, and BDE SPO.
After serving in the 173rd, LTC Hamrick served with 3rd Army (US Army Central Command) at Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC as the Deputy Command Inspector General. LTC Hamrick was then assigned to the J3 at US Special Operations Command at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL as the planner for Special Operations Joint Task Force-Afghanistan (SOJTF-A).
Lieutenant Colonel Hamrick has deployed iteratively to both Afghanistan and Iraq in a variety of staff and command positions. His awards and decorations include the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Bronze Star with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with Valor, the Purple Heart, Master Rated Jumpmaster Badge with Combat Jump Star, and Air Assault Badge.
Lieutenant Colonel Hamrick was born in Shelby, NC. Hamrick holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University, a Master’s degree in Logistics from University of NC, Master’s of Business Administration from University of Memphis, and Master’s degree in Security & Strategy Studies from the Naval War College.
Lieutenant Colonel Hamrick is married to Ann-Marie of Memphis, TN. Together they are raising four children: Makayla (16), Easton (15), Emmett (12), and Olivia (4).
