CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT KEVIN J. JURGELLA

Chief Master Sgt. Kevin J. Jurgella is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 1st Fighter Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He is responsible to the Wing Commander and plays an integral role in the effective employment, professional development, good order and discipline of 1,654 enlisted personnel assigned to the fighter wing's two groups & six squadrons. Additionally, Chief Jurgella coordinates with numerous senior military leaders, professional military organizations and community partners to support 1st Fighter Wing men and women.

Chief Jurgella entered the Air Force in 1984 and graduated from the Aerospace Warning & Control Systems Technology Course. Chief Jurgella has served the majority of his career as a Chief Enlisted Aircrew member; having flown over 5,400 flight hours onboard USAF E-3A AWACS, NATO NE-3A AWACS, EC-130E ABCCC and E-8C JSTARS aircraft. Further, he has flown 63 combat and 34 combat support sorties while deployed in support of Operations DENY FLIGHT, ALLIED FORCE, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. His CONUS assignments include bases in Oklahoma, Arizona, Georgia and Virginia and his OCONUS assignments include bases in Alaska, Germany and Belgium.
