COLONEL THOMAS K. WARK

Colonel Thomas K. Wark is the commander, 192nd Fighter Wing, Virginia Air National Guard. The 192nd FW is a classic associate wing of more than 900 Airmen serving across five missions: F-22 operations and maintenance; global intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; global logistics support; Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and high-yield Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP), and Base Operating Support. The 192nd FW achieves its mission via Total Force Integration with the 1st Fighter Wing, 480th ISRW, and the 735th Supply Chain Operations Group. As wing commander, Colonel Wark ensures the 192nd FW meets its federal missions to train, equip, and deploy Airmen ready to fly, fight, and win; to provide continuous imagery analysis and intelligence support; and deliver fighter/bomber MICAP supplies worldwide. He also ensures the 192nd FW responds to state and national emergencies as directed by the Governor of Virginia.

Colonel Wark earned his commission as a graduate of the Louisiana Tech University AFROTC program in 1987. He has served in numerous fighter aircraft assignments earning over 2800 hours in the F-16 and F-22. His staff experience includes Air Combat Command Director of Air National Guard Forces, and the Air National Guard Director of Air, Space and Information Operations.
