Command Sergeant Major Charlie T. Gordon, Jr.

CSM Charlie T. Gordon, Jr is a native of Suitland, Maryland.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 1996 and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC, followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonardwood, MO, where he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty 88M.

CSM Gordon’s assignment include: Wheeled Vehicle Operator, 29th Engineer Battalion, Fort Shafter; Chauffer, The United Stated Army Band (Presidential Support), Fort Myer, VA; Senior Wheeled Vehicle Operator, 104th Transportation Company, Fort Benning, GA; Squad Leader, 46th Transportation Company, Camp Humphrey’s, Korea; Squad Leader, 577th Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonardwood, MO, Drill Sergeant, Charlie 58th Transportation Company, Fort Leonardwood, MO; Platoon Sergeant and Truckmaster, 360th Transportation Company, Fort Carson, CO; Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant, 96th Transportation Company, Fort Hood, TX; Senior Transportation Supervisor, 21st Theater Sustainment Command G4, Panzer, Germany; First Sergeant, 66th Transportation Company, Kleber Kaserne, Germany; United States Sergeants Major Academy (Class 68), Fort Bliss, TX; Senior Transportation Supervisor (Division Transportation Office), Headquarters and Headquarter Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division.  CSM Gordon has multiple combat tours ranging from Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn.

CSM Gordon has attend several military schools: Basic Leaders Course, Advance Leaders Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), Senior Leaders Course, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 68), Master Resilience Training, Air load Planners, TC-AIMS II, Unit Movement Officer Course, Equal Opportunity Course, Anti-Terrorism Course, Basic Instructor Training, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Drill Sergeant School (Top 20%), Commander’s and First Sergeant Course, and Battalion Pre-Command Course in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.  CSM Gordon’s civilian education includes a Master of Science Degree in Management from Excelsior College, and Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College.

CSM Gordon’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (2OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (6OLC), the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), the National Defense Service Medal w/Bronze Star, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal w/Bronze Star, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon w/numeral 5, the Overseas Service Ribbon w/6, the Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, the Drivers Badge, and the Ancient Order of Saint Christopher.  CSM Gordon is a member of the Prestigious Audie Murphy Club.
