COLONEL HERBERT A. JOLIAT

Colonel Herbert A. Joliat is the 633d Air Base Wing Vice Commander at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. He is responsible for providing mission-ready warfighters from three groups, 13 squadrons, and four divisions in support of Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Colonel Joliat assumed duties as the Vice Commander, 633d Air Base Wing, on May 31, 2017. He enlisted in the Army in March of 1990 as a Medical Lab Technician.  In March of 1992, he was selected for Officer Candidate School (OCS) and commissioned as an Engineer Officer is June of 1992.  He transferred to Civil Affairs in 2000 and has since supported or deployed in support of numerous major contingency operations.  Colonel Joliat has been married to his wife, Leslie, for 26 years.  They have two daughters, Lauren (22) and Lindsey (19).  They reside in Brewer, Maine.
