ATTENTION: The Joint Base Langley-Eustis Tax Centers are closed for the 2016 Tax Season.  Information for the 2017 Tax Season will be available in January 2017.


The Joint Base Langley-Eustis Tax Centers offer free tax preparation, by appointment only, services for active-duty Service members, retirees and their dependents on an appointment-only basis. We will also have computer kiosks available for clients to use Military OneSource to prepare their own taxes.  The address for the Langley Tax Center is Building 801, Basement Level at 402 Helms Ave., Langley AFB.  The types of tax returns we are qualified to prepare are limited, please see the list below for more information.

Hours of Operation
The Tax Center is closed for the 2016 filing season.  Hours of operation and contact number will be available in January 2017.
Documents to Bring
1. A copy of last year's tax return
2. Social security cards or individual taxpayer identification notices/cards for you, your spouse, and/or dependents. To find a local Social Security office, click here
3. Military or Government issued identification for yourself and/or your spouse
4. All W-2's received for the 2014 tax year for you and/or your spouse. For military members these are available online through your Defense Finance and Accounting Service MyPay account. Please bring the correct version(s) of your W-2 form. If you are filing both a state and federal return, make sure you print the W-2 versions that say "To be filed with federal return" and "To be filed with state return.")
5. Child care expenses and provider information (name, address, and Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number)
6. Pension, retirement income - IRS Form 1099R
7. Interest and dividend income statements - Form 1099 INT and/or Form 1099 DIV
8. Sales of stock or bonds with cost basis and dates of transactions (preferable to bring financial institution issued tax record(s))
9. Self-employment business income and expenses (the staff is unable to provide assistance to anyone owning a private business) - IRS Form 1099 MISC
10. State refund from previous year
11. Social Security or unemployment income
12. Alimony paid or received with SSN for the other party
13. Information from other income(s)
14. Records of purchase or sale of home
15. Medical and dental expenses not covered by TRICARE or United Concordia
16. Real estate and personal property taxes
17. Cash and non-cash charitable donations (if itemizing deductions)
18. Mortgage or home equity loan interest paid - IRS Form 1098
19. Unreimbursed employment-related expenses
20. Educational expenses - IRS Form 1098E
21. Proof of account for direct deposit of refund - A voided check

  2. Form 1040EZ (Income Tax Return for Single and Joint Filers With No Dependents)
  3. Form 1040A (U.S. Individual Income Tax Return)
  4. Schedules:
     a. A - Itemized Deductions,
     b. B - Interest and Ordinary Dividends,
     c. EIC - Earned Income Credit, &
     d. R - Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled
  5. Form 1040 - V (Payment Voucher)
  6. Form 1040 - ES (Estimated Tax for Individuals)
  7. Form 2441 (Child and Dependent Care Credit)
  8. Form 5405 (First-Time Homebuyer Credit and Repayment of the Credit)

3. Schedule E (Rents & Losses)
4. Form SS-5 (Request for Social Security Number)
5. Form 2106 (Employee Business Expenses)
6. Form 3903 (Moving)
7. Form 8606 (Non-deductible IRA)
8. Form 8615 (Minor's Investment Income)
