Time saving innovation

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — Joint Base Langley- Eustis hosted a four-day robotics process automation roadshow in the Langley Education Center at JBLE, Virginia, Sept. 26-29.

SrA Sasser has been interested in 3-D printing for four years. The design process itself only took Sasser about two hours and approximately three hours to physically print.

Fuels Airman Drives Innovation Through 3-D Printing

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — It is hard to predict how the coronavirus pandemic might negatively affect readiness. But thanks to the innovation and problem-solving experience of SrA Houston Sasser, 633d Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels training supervisor, and two of his wingmen, they were able to present an idea and produce a product to get the mission back on track.

Airmen use innovation to help during COVID-19

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — Two U.S. Air Force 1st Fighter Wing Airmen use the 1st FW innovation lab to help wing personnel continue the mission during the COVID-19 pandemic. The lab provides resources to research and create masks that could then be distributed to personnel to help fight the spread of the virus.

Technicians, concentrated on expertly constructing each component of a parachute, apply their unique skill set and range of knowledge to ensure perfection with every stitch.

Airman’s innovation sparks excitement for Raptors

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — As the Air Force faces continued fiscal constraints the need for Airmen to be innovative in identifying and solving mission shortfalls keeps growing.

The Materiel Acquisition and Relocation System was developed to give Joint Base Langley-Eustis resource advisors a convenient means to locate and relocate supplies between units. Airman innovates site to save money

Third Port: pivotal point for Army transportation

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — Crisp air whips around at the mouth of Skiffes Creek on the James River, as a small tug boat glides along the black water, easing to a halt alongside a pier. U.S. Army Soldiers jump out of the watercraft and begin throwing ropes to each other, securing the boat to the pier at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Feb. 22, 2017. This 40-acre pier complex, known as Third Port, houses U.S. Army vessels in a deep-water port, providing safe harbor for the watercraft fleet. Although mostly used for training personnel in vessel operations and cargo loading, Third Port is an operational pier for the U.S. Army to train in deployment readiness and recovery.
