JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — The colorful fabric drapes over her skin. Bountiful lace and ribbon ordains the dress, a timeless style reminiscent of her roots. It sways effortlessly with a simple movement of her wrist. To enhance the traditional design, she applies bold makeup to couple the dress’ vibrancy. As she retrieves a tube of vivid red lipstick from a small makeup bag, she comes face-to-face with the mirror. Her reflection creates a feeling of connectedness to her Mexican heritage.

JBLE celebrates diversity with Hispanic Heritage kick-off celebration

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — Two Hispanic Hertiage kick-off events took place here to celebrate the installation's rich diversity. Fort Eustis kicked off the first event at the Fort Eustis Club, Sept. 25, 2019. Following Fort Eustis' event, Langley Air Force Base launched its event Sept. 26, 2019 at the Langley Community Commons. Both events featured music, food, dance demonstrations and more.

Hispanics: One Endless Voice to Enhance Traditions

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va — The 128th Aviation Brigade will host a Hispanic Heritage observance ceremony in the Fort Eustis Wylie Theater, Oct. 4, 2018 at 10 a.m.

JBLE celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — To celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, the 93rd Signal Brigade hosted an observance at Wylie Theater on Sept. 22, 2016, here. According to the Library of Congress, NHHM was initially observed as National Hispanic Heritage Week in September 1968. The commemorative week included September 15 and 16, and also celebrated the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
