Why the 497th IG is important to the Air Force mission:
The 497th IG is the U.S. Air Force's premier intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance exploitation node. The group provides direct combat capability to combatant commanders in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Special Operations Command's global contingency plans.
Goals for new position:
- To explain the weapon system better and codifying exploitation capabilities within the joint warfighting processes
- To enhance support to ongoing contingency operations through multi-intelligence exploitation and fusion
- To take care of Airmen; it's not a bumper sticker, rather something that I have to earn
Leadership philosophy:
- Never forget where you came from
- Find three ways to do something; not 32 ways to not do something
- Lead by example
