JBLE conducts mass coronavirus testing

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS,Va. — Joint Base Langley-Eustis is conducting mass rapid oral fluid COVID-19 testing of roughly 2% of its population—approximately 7,800 joint, active duty personnel—over a three-day period, June 3 through 5.

An avid soccer player, U.S. Navy Aircrewman 2nd Class Joshua Barrera, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron-28, Norfolk, Va., found that Fort Eustis’ McDonald Army Health Center’s physical therapy office was the best option to treat his ligamentous injuries.

Injured athlete finds passion through treatment

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — Joshua jumped up, head butting a soccer ball. As he came back down, an acute pain shot through his leg. The avid soccer player knew his time as an athlete would be put on hold the moment he fell to the ground.

The staff at McDonald Army Health Center’s Troop Medical Services at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Va. divide active duty Soldiers into three separate demographics in order to provide medical care to U.S. Army Soldiers quickly and effectively, improving the readiness of service members across installations. By splitting the demographics into different clinics, medical personnel can pay closer attention to Soldier care, focusing on readiness, length of duty-limiting profiles, military exams, immunizations and periodic health assessments. DENTAC Soldier makes All-Army soccer team

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — U.S. Army Spc. Christian Arias Fernandez, a Dental Activity dental specialist assigned to Joint Base Langley-Eustis, returned from the All-Army team soccer camp at Fort Benning, Georgia, a tryout camp for soldiers from across the nation, as one of 19 members of the All-Army team.
