The 633rd Air Base Wing Judge Advocate provides legal advice and support to the 633 ABW Commander and more than 40 unit commanders and staff agencies in the areas of military justice, adverse administrative actions and ethics, civil, operations, environmental, labor and contract law. The 633 ABW Judge Advocate also provides preventive law, legal assistance and tax service to a client base of more than 75,000, is responsible for all claims for and against the government and prosecutes civilian offenders in Federal court.

Walk-in Legal Assistance for active duty only
Fridays: 11 a.m. to noon.

Note: Only active duty Air Force in uniform will be seen during walk-in hours at the Langley Law Center. Retirees and their dependents are seen by appointment only, please call the office to schedule an appointment.

For legal emergencies or last minute deployments, please call the Langley Legal Office to schedule a short notice appointment. Short notice appointments are made on a case by case basis.

Navy personnel need to contact their Navy Legal Office for wills and legal assistance.

tabWhat is the FOIA?
The Freedom of Information Act Program (DoD 5400.7) allows the general public including foreign citizens, military and civilian personnel acting as private citizens, to request records electronically or in writing from the Federal Government. Some records are released to the public under the Freedom of Information Act, and may therefore reflect deletion of some information in accordance with the FOIA's nine statutory exemptions or two law enforcement record exclusions. A consolidated list of such records is on Defense Link. Currently the law allows 20 working days to process a FOIA request upon receipt of the request in the FOIA office.

Send requests for 633rd Air Base Wing records to 633rd Communications Squadron/FOIA, 175 Sweeney Blvd., Heritage Area, Langley AFB, VA 23665. Please ensure you mention "FOIA" and indicate a willingness to pay fees associated with the processing of your request or, in the alternative, why a waiver of fees may be appropriate. Written requests may be received by postal service, facsimile or electronically at Faxed or e-mailed requests must have a mailing address included since it may not be practical to provide a substantive response electronically.
