JBLE 2022 Hurricane Season Readiness

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — One of the most significant natural disasters that Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia faces are hurricanes. The Atlantic Hurricane Season begins on June 1st and ends on November 30th each year. Now is the time for the JBLE community to ensure they’re hurricane prepared.

2019 Hurricane season readiness

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va — Hurricane season began June 1, and continues through November 30. The peak risk of hurricanes in the Hampton Roads area occurs late August through late October.

Hurricane season is from June 1 to Nov. 30, but can occur earlier or later than projected. Members are encouraged to build an emergency kit and have a plan to prepare for possible emergency situations.
