Soldiers compete during simulated combat scenarios

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 128th Aviation Brigade at Joint Base Langley-Eustis participated in a week-long NCO and Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeant of the Year Competition, March 6 through March 9, 2017. The competition was designed to test different skills that are expected of every Soldier in the U.S. Army, regardless of their rank or profession. Throughout the competition, Soldiers were tested in various ways. They completed a 12-mile road march, fitness tests, written exams and performed close-quarter combat in a simulated wartime environment, which kept competitors mentally and physically challenged.
