Army celebrates 242nd year

U.S. Army Col. Ralph L. Clayton, 733rd Mission Support Group commander, honors the Army’s 242nd Birthday with a cake cutting ceremony at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., June 14, 2017. Following Army tradition, the youngest Army officer and enlisted member cut the birthday cake alongside the commander. The youngest officer was, left, U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Marie Music, 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) transportation officer and the youngest enlisted member was, right, U.S. Army Pvt.
