JBLE remedial investigation at historic military training areas

— Golfers at The Pines Golf Course on Fort Eustis may notice environmental crews at work across the fairways. Specialists are investigating the former Langley Field Gunnery Range and Bombing Target H to locate potential buried munitions and assess any environmental impacts under federal cleanup guidelines. The investigation is being conducted following the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act to better understand the presence and extent of potential buried munitions and associated environmental impacts. ...
