Water safety for life

The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries will host a free boater’s safety class at the Joint Base Langley-Eustis Fort Eustis Outdoor Recreation Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 16, 2019. All active duty personnel and family, retirees and civilian employees with a Department of Defense identification card above the age of 14 are welcome to attend the class.

Traffic Safety Update

U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 633rd Civil Engineer Squadron finished installing new signs on the intersection of Hotel and Juliet taxiways and Lee Road at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Feb. 23, 2018. “Due to an increase of people not stopping at the signs, it was brought to our attention that the old signs may not have been informative enough,” said Master Sgt. Jennifer Herr, 1st Operations Support Squadron deputy airfield manager.

Shellbank: new year, new track

In early January 2018, the Shellbank Fitness Center opened the newly repaired track for JBLE. Due to the deterioration that occurred to the track, the surfacing was needing to be replaced. The new surface when fully completed in March 2018, will be level and free of holes.
