To all 633rd Air Base Wing Members,
On the Fourth of July, we celebrate the birth of our great nation, the United States of America. On this day, 242 years ago, the signing of the Declaration of Independence took place. Our independence is possible because of the men and women of our Armed Forces who continually defend our freedom. As we come together in the enduring spirit of America, let us be grateful for the blessings that freedom represents and for the opportunities it affords.
While enjoying this holiday, I stress the importance of sound Risk Management - using seat belts, not speeding, and not driving while fatigued or intoxicated. Also, if your holiday plans include recreational activities such as swimming, sports and hiking, measures to prevent injuries should be a top priority.
Thank you for all that you do. My family and I extend our best wishes to all of you for a safe and happy Fourth of July holiday this week.
