JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — All the lights were out. The howling wind seemed to creep its tendril-like fingers through the window, moving the air like a ghost through the house. Meanwhile, with a tight squeeze, the boy’s fears are cast aside as a wave of comfort streams from the fur pressed against his face—all is well, Whoa Bear is here.

Gold Star Family Day; honoring their sacrifice

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — The Fort Eustis Survivor Outreach Services Program hosted a Gold Star Mothers and Families Day luncheon at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Sept. 29, 2019. This year’s theme was “A Moment in Time” and was meant to honor the sacrifices of Gold Star mothers and families.
