Army engineer divers with engineer dive detachments assigned to the 20th Engineer Brigade participated in the “1st Annual U.S. Army Best Dive Team Competition” at Fort Eustis, Jan. 8-12. The competition included physical training events at Anzio Beach, underwater demo training at the Fort Eustis Aquatic Center (pictured), and diver’s training tank challenges. The 86th EDD won the overall competition, as well as bragging rights until next year’s competition. Army engineer dive detachments conduct diving operations in maritime environments supporting combat, general, geospatial engineering, as well as defense support of civil authorities.
