1st FW recognized with Doolittle Award
Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Christopher Miller, Air Force Historical Foundation president and Jonna Doolittle Hoppes, Doolittle Foundation executive director and granddaughter of Gen. James H. “Jimmy” Doolittle presents an award to U.S Air Force Col. Jason Hinds, 1st Fighter Wing commander, at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia, Nov. 13, 2018. The award is named after aviation pioneer James H. Doolittle—who served as a brigadier, major and lieutenant general in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, and earned the Medal of Honor for valor and leadership as commander of the famous Doolittle Raid.
