LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. -- Dr. Roscoe Brown Jr., former captain and squadron commander of the Tuskegee Airmen’s 100th Fighter Squadron of the 332nd Fighter Group watches as Maj. Paul Moga, F-22A Aerial Demonstration Team pilot, explains the inner workings of the Raptor during the Ohio air show Sept. 30. Dr. Brown was the first 15th Air Force fighter pilot to shoot down a German Me-262 jet fighter during the same mission that earned the 332nd Fighter Group the Presidential Unit Citation and was one of 51 legendary aces, veterans, WASPs and crew chiefs honored at The Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 27-30.
