LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. –
Fort Monroe Army Community Service would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers from Langley Air Force Base who came out on Aug. 2 to help make the 14th Annual Fort Monroe Kid's Day such a success.
We had over 1,500 people attend this event and we could not have done it without such a strong showing from the Langley Airmen.
In addition to being a fun-filled day for local military kids, our goal was to provide information to our military families that encourages self-reliance and independence.
This, of course, encourages military retention and better prepares families for deployments.
